It is “Particully Oriented Yarn”, that is, partially drawn yarn and cannot be used directly in textiles. Since POY yarn is drawn on the POY production line at speeds varying between 3500-4200 m/min, the orientation of the polymer is not completed. Therefore, it shows high elongation and shear tensile properties.
